COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
If you wish to make a complaint, in the first instance please contact the person dealing with your case to see if this can be resolved. They will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days. We will then advise you how long we think it will take to look into your complaint. In straightforward matters, this is usually within 7 working days.
On receiving a response from the lawyer dealing with your claim, if you are still not satisfied with your reply you should address your concerns directly to the Principal, Saffora Choudri or Claire Hodgson in her absence. Complaints are usually acknowledged within 2 working days. In straight forward matters, a detailed response is provided within 14 working days. If the complaint is complex or further investigation is required, you will be advised of the likely timescales in which we anticipate we are likely to respond.
We will endeavour to respond within the timescales referred to in 1 and 2 above. In general the Solicitors Regulation Authority require that a client gives us 8 weeks in which to deal with the complaint.
If more time is needed than we anticipated, we will still report to you and inform you why we need more time and again inform you of when we expect to write with a final assessment.
We will investigate your complaint fully and fairly by someone independent, such as another senior fee earner not related to the case and offer a suitable solution where possible.
Following a full investigation by Saffora Choudri or Claire Hodgson, if you still remain unhappy and wish to pursue your complaint, you have the opportunity to appeal to someone who is not involved in the complaint. The following steps should be followed:-

We can offer arbitration, in which case we or you can contact the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators for further information on 020 7837 4483.
You also have the right to notify the Legal Ombudsman on 0300 555 0333 or by email en*******@****************rg.uk or write to the Ombudsman by post to PO Box 6806, Wolverhampton WV1 9WJ.
Any complaints to the Ombudsman must be made within 6 months of receiving our final decision on your complaint.
