Our pedestrian client was crossing a roundabout late in the evening when she was struck by a vehicle traveling at 30mph.
The impact threw her onto the bonnet, with her head striking the windscreen before she rolled to the ground. She sustained fractures to both knees, along with soft tissue injuries and other losses.
The injuries left her immobile, forcing her to rely entirely on her husband for care, cooking, dressing, bathing, and other daily activities she would have normally managed herself.
After an early offer was made, the claim eventually settled for £250,000.
